DREADMOOR Early Access is planned to begin on November 9, 2026. At the November 2 snapshot, the main game is still marked Coming Soon. Early Access is the work-in-progress release, not the completed 1.0 game, and the developers estimate approximately six to twelve months of further development rather than promising a fixed full-release date.
What the launch version is planned to contain
The announced Early Access scope includes one major region, the core gameplay loop, the original story content, and a variety of fish species and mutations. The central activities are exploration, fishing, scavenging, resource management and improving your trawler and equipment.
The end of the available story is not planned to close the world. You will be able to continue exploring, fishing, collecting rare specimens and working on upgrades after that story content ends.

Boat travel and exploration are part of the announced core loop.
That is the announced scope of the upcoming version. On November 2, it should not be read as a report that the paid build has already been released and fully tested.
Separate launch scope from future additions
| Announced launch scope | Planned development beyond that scope |
|---|---|
| One major region | New areas and further adventures |
| Core fishing and progression loop | Additional fish species and fishing mechanics |
| Boat and equipment upgrades | Further upgrades and expanded possibilities |
| Available story content | Continued development alongside balance and polish |
The plans also include work on stability, performance, balance and overall polish. These are development intentions, not a guarantee that every desired feature will appear on a particular date.
The approximate six-to-twelve-month period is an estimate. It does not justify calculating an exact 1.0 launch day or treating the latest day of that range as a deadline.
Decide based on the version you would buy
Early Access is most suitable when you want to play the stated scope while accepting that balance, stability and content can change. If you only want the expanded regions or other planned additions, judge the purchase against what is included at the time rather than buying on the assumption that future work is already complete.
The planned pricing approach is a lower Early Access price followed by an increase for the full release. No confirmed increase amount is established here, so that statement is not a promise of a particular saving.

Boat and equipment improvements are included in the announced progression scope.
The free demo is a separate application with its own questline. Playing it is useful for checking your interest in the core interactions, but it does not establish that every feature or progression detail is identical to the paid launch build. Save transfer between development stages should not be assumed.
How feedback is intended to shape development
The team plans to gather feedback through Steam Discussions, Discord, in-game tools, surveys, social media and other community spaces. The stated areas of interest include fishing, exploration, progression, difficulty, the economy, controls, accessibility and performance.
When reporting an issue, name the application and build, describe the exact action and distinguish a repeatable fault from a preference about balance. That gives the developers a clearer basis for a change than assuming a missing or frustrating interaction has already been scheduled for a specific update.
