The next announced DREADMOOR milestone is Steam Early Access on November 9, 2026. This update covers confirmed announcements through November 2. The public demo was announced on October 6; the main game is still marked as coming soon, rather than already released.
The latest announcements establish the launch plan, supported languages and initial scope. They do not establish a completed-game review, a fixed version 1.0 date or the arrival of every planned future feature.
October 19: launch pricing and languages
The October 19 announcement reiterated the November 9 Early Access date and introduced planned launch pricing. The announced US base price is $19.99, with an optional $4.99 Early Access Supporter Pack. Regional prices are also planned, with the customer's local Steam store determining the applicable final price.
The same update announced twelve supported text languages: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish from Spain, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Polish, Russian and Japanese.
Professional voice acting is announced for English and Russian. The other supported languages use localized text and subtitles. The text-language count should not be described as twelve dubbed audio tracks.
The announcement also invited newcomers to try the demo during Steam Next Fest. For present availability, check the live demo listing; the announcement is a dated invitation, not a promise that the demo remains accessible permanently.
October 15: Early Access date and initial scope
The October 15 announcement set November 9 as the Early Access date and described one major region containing the core gameplay loop and available story content.
The announced activities include navigating the flooded Submerged Lands, catching fish and mutations, scavenging supplies, improving the trawler and equipment, and facing more uncertain conditions after dark. After the available story ends, continued fishing, exploration and upgrades remain part of the stated experience.
That scope should not be expanded into an unannounced region count or a guaranteed completion time. One major region and an open-ended activity loop do not establish how many hours every player will spend in the game.
The developers currently expect approximately six to twelve months of Early Access. Additional regions, story content, species, fishing mechanics and upgrades are plans beyond the initial release. The development timetable is flexible rather than a fixed calendar for every addition.

October 6: the demo becomes available
The October demo announcement introduced a newer public sample after earlier playtests. It described performance optimization, animation work, twelve text languages and professional English and Russian voice acting.
The demo's own questline centers on a remote settlement and nearby islands. Players explore by boat and on foot, fish, salvage materials, meet an engineer and improve the vessel at the dry dock.
The announcement also addressed Steam Deck. It said the demo could be played on the handheld while making clear that DREADMOOR had not received an official Steam Deck Verified rating. That distinction remains important: a playability statement is not a benchmark or a blanket compatibility guarantee.
The important warning for previous testers
Returning playtest participants were told not to continue old saves because of the risk of unexpected bugs and crashes. The recommended transition was a fresh demo game.
Preserve existing save data externally before choosing any reset. This warning concerns old playtest progress and does not establish that deleting saves is a general fix for every technical problem.
Earlier announcements remain historical
The July demo announcement named October 6 as the PC Steam demo date. Earlier pre-alpha and limited-preview information describes previous testing phases rather than the current release state.
In particular, an English-only pre-alpha with an NDA and higher unoptimized hardware requirements is not the same application stage as the October demo. Likewise, a May invitation to an open preview does not mean that preview is still available in November.
A recent capture or repost can bring an old announcement back into search results. Check the date of the event itself before treating it as a new feature or current access instruction.
What is still awaiting confirmation
The main game is listed for single-player Windows PC play. The current announcements do not confirm co-op, a PS5 release date or native VR support.
There is also no fixed completed-release date. The six-to-twelve-month estimate should not be converted into a promise that version 1.0 will arrive on a particular day.
Finally, a new build entry is not necessarily a news item with documented gameplay changes. Without a changelog, it does not establish that a particular bug was fixed or a requested feature was added. Use the dated announcements for the actual development milestones, and keep planned additions distinct from the playable package.
